I have been on Demulen for the past 7 years and I have never experienced any side effects while on the pill. I normall take the pill for 21 days and then get my period the week after.
This summer I decided that I wanted to miss my period so I could enjoy my summer activities (i.e. swimming), so I took 2 bc pill packs in a row. I finished a pack on August 5th and was supposed to get my period 2 days later, but instead I started a new bc pill pack on August 6th.
So now I'm entering my 3rd week on my second pack and I am experiencing weird symptoms. About 2 days ago my breasts started to get swollen and tender,
I am feeling a little nauseous and light headed. Could that be the effects of too many hormones from taking bc pills 2 months straight without a break? I want to stop taking my pills this week so I can get my period because my breasts hurt a lot. Is that a good idea.
Also, could the effectiveness of the pill be decreased by changing my schedule around? I always take my pill at the same time every day (between 10-11am).
